1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Hirefolio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Hirefolio is a career management platform that helps users build professional profiles, generate resumes and cover letters, track job applications, and discover career resources. The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with content generation and optimization.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update your information if it changes
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.
4. Subscription and Billing
Hirefolio offers both free and paid subscription plans:
- Free Plan: Includes limited access to features including 1 master resume generation, 5 tailored resumes, 5 cover letters, and 1 resume coach analysis per month.
- Pro Plan: $14.99/month or $119/year with a 7-day free trial. Includes unlimited access to all features.
4.1 Free Trial
Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
4.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the recurring subscription fee.
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods.
4.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including your career information, resumes, cover letters, and other documents ("User Content").
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not sell, share, or use your User Content for any other purpose without your consent.
6. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to help generate and optimize resumes, cover letters, and other career documents. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed and edited by you before use
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content
- You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before submitting it to potential employers
- AI-generated content should not be relied upon as professional career advice
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated tools to access the Service without permission
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Hirefolio and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services, including payment processors and career resource providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT USING THE SERVICE WILL RESULT IN EMPLOYMENT OR ANY SPECIFIC OUTCOME.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HIREFOLIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hirefolio and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
